Learn to see photographically. In this day-long workshop you will discover what qualities separate a fine photograph from a snapshot and gain a clearer understanding of what makes the work of such masters as Edward Weston and Ansel Adams so enduringly meaningful.
We will spend some time reviewing basic camera operation, do an exercise to sharpen your own vision, then consider the process of developing a theme as a way to direct your photographic energies. You will also see how the initial print is adjusted through digital darkroom techniques, using a variety of common software applications, to become the finished print.
All levels of experience are welcome.
