Future tours to be announced

To its first inhabitants, the Maori, it is Aoteraea, "the Land of the Long White Cloud". Isolated from the rest of the world for tens of millions of years, New Zealand is a natural history museum in a land of contrasting extremes -- of high mountains, arid valleys, active volcanoes, imposing glaciers, luxuriant rain forests, spectacular waterfalls and fiords. It is foremost a land displaying many faces: an island paradise tucked far away in the south Pacific, a country featuring snow-capped peaks rivaling the Swiss Alps, an agricultural eden containing more sheep than people, a land with a fiord-carved coastline resembling Norway, an outdoor adverturer's mecca of dramatic landscapes and pristine vistas, a nation with cities more English than England and more Scottish than Scotland.

Highlights of the New Zealand itinerary include the North Island's geothermal wonderland at Rotorua, and the South Island's Fiordland National Park & Milford Sound, boat trip on Doubtful Sound, Mount Cook 4x4 glacier trip, Otago Harbour cruise, cruise to a sheep station on Lake Wakatipu, plus ample free time to photographically explore the highly picturesque cities of Christchurch, Queenstown, and Dunedin.
